Getting Started
The first step to renting from Sonic Images Group is to open an account. Once your paperwork is completed and an account is opened, you are ready to rent. Repeat rentals may require nothing more than a phone call to the Sonic Images Group Rentals Department.
Renting Equipment
Give us a call to discuss your equipment rental needs. One of our agents will create a rental order based on those needs and equipment availability. The agent will then email or fax you a copy of the rental order for your approval. Once you have reviewed and approved the rental order, the agent will process your payment and reserve the equipment for your use.
Sonic Images Group offers three account options
• For rentals with equipment replacement value less than $10,000
• Requires a credit card with open balance adequate to cover equipment value and rental fee, or cash to cover either or both.
Instructions and Forms
1. Contact a Sonic Images Group rental agent to discuss your equipment needs and determine the replacement cost of the equipment.
2. Download and complete the Account C.O.D. With Security Deposit [200 kb doc] application.
3. Print, sign, and fax the application to 408.516.5987 or email it to rentals@sonicimagesgroup.com. You will be notified via e-mail once your application is received and processed.
4. Contact your rental agent to confirm the rental.
You may use cash, check, money order, a credit card or a wire transfer (where appropriate) to pay for equipment rental. Deposits must be made with cash or credit card only.
Sonic Images Group accepts:
• Visa
• MasterCard
• American Express
Your account must have available credit sufficient to cover rental charges, plus security deposit equal to equipment replacement value.
To use a credit card, please fax to 408.516.5987:
• A copy (front and back) of the card being used
• The driver’s license of the cardholder
• The Credit Card Authorization form in your application
Sonic Images Group does not recommend the use of debit cards for deposit purposes, as explained in our FAQs.

• Certificate of Insurance is required for orders with replacement valued over $10,000.
• Requires bank and trade references.
• Account set up within 2 to 5 days, depending on the response time of your references and insurance company. Be sure to allow adequate time for processing the application. The Sonic Images Group credit team understands the demanding nature of “the business” and wants to ensure that your equipment needs are met on time, every time.
• Please note that Sonic Images Group cannot guarantee Net 30 Terms to every customer.

4. Contact your rental agent to confirm the rental.
Note: Video Equipment Rentals requires both Property and Liability coverage. Sonic Images Group should be listed as a Certificate Holder. Evidence of insurance alone is not sufficient.
Sonic Images Group requires:
• Property Coverage
• General Liability
• Auto Liability
• Worker’s Compensation Liability
Sonic Images Group must be listed as:
• Loss Payee for Property coverage
• Additional Insured for Liability coverage
Equipment coverage must be for rented/leased equipment.
At a minimum, your insurance must cover the entire rental period, from pickup/delivery date through date of return.
Should you choose to provide blanket insurance coverage, a new COI will not be required for each rental as long as the policy is in force.
