Principal Mark Weldon has produced, directed, shot, and edited Television, both Network and Corporate/Government, since 1982. He has mixed both Studio & Concert Sound, and Corporate presentations since 1980.

In this time, Sonic Images Group has produced, recorded and mastered hundreds of records and CD’s, and been involved in most aspects of production for over 28 years. TV involvement began with the Bay Area Mobile Tape remote truck and KNTV shoots in the days of Quad and One Inch formats. Taught by some of the industry’s best producers, directors and engineers, to this day we are still learning and applying new ideas to TV productions, webcasts, broadcasts and everything in between. We have been lucky enough to design and build many TV studios, recording studios, and a TV station, the Catholic Communications Center, and others, adding to a good base knowledge and understanding of the technical aspects.

After touring and mixing for well over 400 different musical groups, a wealth of knowledge and experience await the next endeavour. From Jazz to Folk, Blues to Rock; each mix, each concert, each show, is approached with a great attitude, and a toolbox filled with goodies. Well over 300 CD’s have been mastered in the Sonic mastering suites, with special attention paid to superb sound and balance. We were one of the early adopters of noise reduction and restoration/forensic audio post production. With Sonic Solutions and No Noise, ProTools, and Bias Peak, even Sound Designer with Waves plug ins, we have enjoyed much success in taking poorly recorded sound files and “fixing” them. And of course taking well recorded projects and just adding that little something that makes them shine.

Some of our mixing clients have included Etta James, Ray Charles, The Tubes, Allan Holdsworth, Acoustic Alchemy, Lee Greenwood, James Brown, Jerry Lee Lewis, Roy Clark, Huey Lewis and the News, Taylor Eigsti, Jim Brickman, and so many others. Venues and Events include the San Jose Jazz Festival, City of Palo Alto music series, Russian River Jazz and Blues Festivals, Ironstone Winery, The Mountain Winery, Fox Theater, Jazz on the Hill, The America Festival, etc.
